Sonoma Pool House

A new house and poolhouse were constructed next to a working vineyard, with a vegetable garden, fruit trees and native plantings to smooth the transition from architecture to agriculture.  Woven steel screens and lighted stone plinths define the entries and pathways, and steel raised beds are provided with wooden caps for sitting on while gardening.  Angles from the surrounding architecture are reflected in the layout of the pool and landscape infrastructure.  The raised pool features bluestone caps with inset lighting, frosted glass tiles, a spa, lap swim lane, and shallow baja lounge.
